تهدفُ هذه الدِّراسة إلى تحليل قصيدة "غريب على الخليج" للشَّاعر بدر شاکر السَّياب تحليلاً سيميائيّاً، من خلال تطبيق الآليّات الإجرائيّة لمدرسة باريس السّيميائيّة التي وضعها مؤسِّسُها النَّاقد الفرنسيّ أ.ج.غريماس، وتأتي أهمية الدِّراسة من کونها تسعى إلى بيان مدى إمکانيَّة تطبيق مستويات التَّحليل السّيميائيّ - التي أقرَّها غريماس - على الخطاب الشِّعريّ، بعد أن اقتصرَ اهتمامُها وتطبيقُها على الأعمال السَّرديَّة، فحسب. وقد جاءت الدّراسة في تمهيدٍ تناول مبادئ نظريَّة غريماس السّيميائيّة، وثلاثة مباحث، أوّلها: سيميائيَّة العتبات، وتناول سيميائيَّة العنوان، وسيميائيَّة مقطعي البدء والختام، وثانيها: المستوى السَّطحيّ، وتناول المُکوِّن السَّرديّ، والمُکوِّن الخطابيّ، وثالثها: المستوى العميق، وتضمَّن الوحدات الدِّلاليَّة الصُّغرى، والمُربَّع السّيميائيّ، وخَلُصت الدِّراسة إلى أنَّ نظريَّة غريماس السّيميائيَّة تصلح لتحليل النّصوص الشِّعريَّة والسَّرديّة معاً.

Abstract
 
This research aims at analyzing the poem entitled " A Stranger to the Gulf" by the poet Badr Shaker Al- Sayyab. This semiotic analysis will be achieved through applying the procedural mechanisms of the Semiotic School of Paris whose foundation was laid by the French critic A. J. Greimas. The importance of this research rises from its objective to study the possibility of applying the standards of semiotic analysis- identified by Greimas- to the poetic discourse since the application and interest of this theory relied largely on narrative works only. This research consists of a preamble, three chapters and a conclusion. The preamble displays the basic principles of Greimas's semiotic theory. The first chapter deals with the semiology of the thresholds, the title, the beginning and the end. The second chapter handles the superficial level and the narrative content. As for the third chapter, it is devoted to the deep level which includes minor units of significance and the semiotic square. Finally, the research concludes that the semiotic theory of Greimas can be utilized to analyze both poetic and narrative texts.
