تتلخص  فكرة البحث في أن الحداثة العربية قد جمعت بين وجهي الأصيل والدخيل من التراث العربي، وهذا معناه اهتزاز منهجها الذي قامت عليه إذ لم تلزم وجها واحدا بل ترددت بينهما، وهذا فقدان للموضوعية وخضوع لأهواء شخصية ودوافع نفسية عند المنادين بها، فهم ينادون بها اعتقادا منهم أن التجديد والإبداع الفني لا يكون إلا في إطارها، محاكاة للحداثة الغربية بحلوها ومرها ،كما قال قائلهم؛  لذا قمت بقراءة مصطلح الحداثة العربية قراءة نقدية من حيث المنطلق والدلالة وبيان وهم اعتقادهم أن التجديد والإبداع الفني لا يكون إلا في إطارها محاكاة للحداثة الغربية، كما قدمت نموذجا عمليا على هذا ممثلًا في الشاعر أدونيس مبينًا دوافعه النفسية التي جعلته يجمع بين الأصيل والدخيل في مشروعه الفكري والأدبي، مع ذكر نماذج من نتاجه استخدم فيها وجهي التراث دون أدنى مبالاة في الجمع بينهما فالكل عنده سواء كموروث معرفي ثقافي ما دام يتوافق مع توجهات الحداثة الغربية التي يريد تكرارها في الحداثة العربية.
 
 
Abstract:
The research idea is summarized as follows: Arab modernism combined both the authentic and the alien aspects of the Arab heritage. This means that its methodology، upon which it was based، was shaken، as it did not adhere to a single aspect، but rather vacillated between them. This represents a loss of objectivity and a submission to personal whims and psychological motivations among its advocates. They advocate for it out of a belief that artistic innovation and creativity can only occur within its framework، imitating Western modernity، with its ups and downs، as one of its proponents put it.
Therefore، I undertook a critical reading of the term "Arab modernism" in terms of its premise and meaning، and demonstrated the delusion of their belief that artistic innovation and creativity can only occur within its framework، imitating Western modernity. I also presented a practical example of this، represented by the poet Adonis، demonstrating his psychological motivations that led him to combine the authentic and the alien in his intellectual and literary project، citing examples from his work in which he used both aspects of heritage without the slightest concern for combining them. For him، all are equal as a cultural and cognitive heritage، as long as they align with the orientations of modernity. The Western tradition he seeks to replicate in Arab modernity.
