ولي الله الدهلوي أحد أعلام المسلمين الكبار في شبه القارة الهندية، الذين أسهموا بجهد مشكور في الدعوة الإسلامية، وإصلاح الفكر الإسلامي من الجمود الذي شلَّ حركته، حيث أسهم في إثراء هذا الفكر ومدِّه بزاد جديد يكفل له التجدّد، ويحقق له الملاءمة بين مراتب الدوام والتغيّر، إذ كان الرجل واعيا بالتحديات العقلانية الكبيرة التي ستواجه إنسان العهد الجديد.
 وتتمحور إشكالية بحثنا حول ما مدى إسهام ولي الله الدهلوي في الدعوة والإصلاح؟ ويتفرع عن هذا التساؤل المركزي أسئلة فرعية وهي ما طبيعة العمل الذي قام به الدهلوي من أجل إحياء الفكر الإسلامي وإصلاحه؟ وما الجهد الذي قام به من أجل إصلاح النظام التعليمي؟ وما هي الإسهامات التي قام بها في مجال التوجيه والتغيير؟ وإلى من وجه مواعظه وخطبه؟ ولفك إشكالية هذا البحث وظفت المنهج: الاستقرائي والتحليلي.
 
Abstract:
Shah Waliullah Dehlawi is one of the prominent Muslim figures in the Indian subcontinent, who made significant contributions to Islamic da'wah and the reform of Islamic thought, which had been stagnating and impeding its movement. He played a pivotal role in enriching Islamic thought and providing it with a new vision that allowed it to adapt, ensuring a balance between continuity and change. He was acutely aware of the intellectual challenges that the people of the new era would face.
The core issue of our research revolves around the extent of Shah Waliullah Dehlawi contributions to da'wah and reform. This central question branches into several sub-questions: What was the nature of the work he undertook to revive and reform Islamic thought? What efforts did he make to reform the educational system? What contributions did he make in terms of guidance and social change? Who were the recipients of his sermons and advice? To address this research issue, I employed both inductive and analytical methodologies.
