الملخـص:
يتناول هذا البحث بيان أثر الاتجاه النقدي عند الإمام عبد الحليم محمود في تجديد علم الكلام، وذلك من خلال نقده لثلاث قضايا وهي: موقفه من قضية الفرقة الناجية، وموقفه من صلة العقل بالنقل عند المعتزلة، ورؤيته التجديدية لعلم الكلام.
كما يتناول أيضاً هذا البحث أيضاً: بيان أثر الاتجاه النقدي عند الإمام عبد الحليم في تجديد الفلسفة، وذلك من خلال بحثه لعدة قضايا، وهي: نقده لمفهوم الفلسفة، ونقده للشبه المثارة حول أصالة الفلسفة الإسلامية، ونقده لنظرية المعرفة عند الفلاسفة، وموقفُه من مسألة علم الله تعالى بالجزئيات عند الفلاسفة، وموقفُه من مسألة قدم العالم عند الفلاسفة.
كما يتناول هذا البحث أيضاً: بيان أثر الاتجاه النقدي عند الإمام عبد الحليم محمود في تجديد التصوف، وذلك من خلال بحثه لعدة قضايا، وهي: نقدُه لبعض الاتجاهات في تعريف التصوف وتعدد مصادره. ونقده للفهم الخاطئ لمسألة وحدة الوجود عند بعض صوفية الإسلام. وموقفه من التصوف عند ابن سينا. وموقفه من المعرفة الإشراقية عند الكندي. وحلّه لإشكالية المعرفة بالتجربة الصوفية "الغزالي نموذجاً". وبيانه لدور المعرفة الصوفية وتحقيق الأمن الفكري والسِلْم الاجتماعي.
لقد استطاع الإمام عبد الحليم محمود برؤيته النقدية أن يعالج كثيراً من الإشكاليات وأن يحدد موطن الخطأ في الفكر، وأن يصحح كثيراً المفاهيم الخاطئة، وأن يعيد كثيراً من الأمور إلى نصابها الصحيح.

The Critical Approach of Imam Abdul Halim Mahmoud and His Role in Renewing Islamic Philosophical Heritage

Abstract
 
The paper examines the far-reaching influence of Imam Abdul Halim Mahmoud's critical approach to the revival of Islamic theology. It analyzes his critique of three pivotal issues: his perspective on the ‘Saved Sect,’ his views on the relationship between reason and revelation among the Muʿtazilites, and his renewing approach to Islamic theology.
Furthermore, the study explores the impact of Imam Abdul Halim Mahmoud's critical approach to the renewal of philosophy. It addresses issues such as his critique of the concept of philosophy, his challenge to doubts about the originality of Islamic philosophy, his examination of philosophers’ epistemological theories, his position on God's knowledge of particulars, and his stance on the philosophers’ views on the eternity of the world.
The paper also examines the impact of Imam Abdul Halim Mahmoud's critical approach on the renewal of Sufism. It covers his critique of various definitions and sources of Sufism, his analysis of the misunderstood concept of "unity of existence" among some Islamic Sufis, his views on Sufism in the works of Ibn Sīnā, his stance on illuminationist knowledge according to Al-Kindī, his resolution of epistemological issues in mystical experience with a special focus on Al-Ghazālī, and his explanation of the role of mystical knowledge in promoting intellectual security and social harmony.
Imam Abdul Halim Mahmoud's critical vision allowed him to address numerous issues, pinpoint errors in thought, correct misconceptions, and restore many matters to their proper context.
