ملخص:
 يهدف هذا المقال إلى إبراز أهمية "علم الاستغراب" الذي أصبح ضرورة حضارية لا مناص منها من أجل معرفة الآخر (الغرب) والتصدي لمخططاته التي تستهدف منظومتنا القيمية، ومقدراتنا الاقتصادية. وقبل ذلك ضرورة شرعية، نستشفها من خلال آي الذكر الحكيم الداعية إلى التفكر والاعتبار في سير الأمم والشعوب. كما في قوله تعالى: (سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا) (الفتح، الآية: 23)؛ وقوله تعالى: (يُخْرِبُونَ بُيُوتَهُمْ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَيْدِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاعْتَبِرُوا يَا أُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ) (الحشر، الآية: 2).
 ولا تتحقق هذه القراءة الواعية إلا إذا امتلكنا ناصية العلم والمنهجية، كما امتلكها الغرب حين درس الشرق فأنشأ بالأمس علم الاستشراق بغرض تفكيك ثقافتنا ومن ثم يسهل عليه بعد ذلك تفكيك أمتنا وهذا ما حصل، فهل هناك إمكانية لنؤسس علما مختصا بنا، شبيه بالاستشراق ومضاد له في الأهداف تكون مهمته استكشافية ودفاعية؟ هذه هي الإشكالية الرئيسية التي تحكم مسار هذا البحث، لعل وعسى أن نوفق في المساهمة في إنشاء مدّونه لـ "علم الاستغراب" تكون في حجم التحدي المطروح والغاية المنشودة في ظل الهيمنة الغربية المعاصرة.
 
Occidentalism in between Description and Standardization

Abstract
 This research highlights the importance of Occidentalism which has become an inevitable cultural necessity for recognizing the other; the (West) and confront its schemes which target our system of values ​​and our economic capabilities as well as being chiefly a legitimate necessity. This necessity is derived from the verses of the Holy Qur’an calling for contemplation and getting lessons from the history of nations and peoples as stated in Surat Al- Fath "This is the established way of Allah which has occurred before and never will you find in the way of Allah any change" (Verse 23). Also، in Surat Al- Hashr "they destroyed their houses by their own hands and the hands of the believers. So، take warning، o people of vision" (Verse 2). This conscious reading can hardly be attained unless we possess and control the science and methodology as the West did when they studied the East through establishing orientalism aiming at dismantling our culture then it would become easier to dismantle our nation and this is what happened in fact. Hence، is it possible to establish a kind of science peculiar to us? This science should be like orientalism but with counter objectives and its main task is to defend and discover. This is the main problem controlling the course of this research. The researchers wish they would contribute to create a blog about "Occidentalism" to meet the proposed challenges and sought goals in the light of the contemporary western dominance.
