يتناول البحث دراسة موضوعات علم الأديان من خلال واقع الأديان اليوم، وفق محدد الوعي الذي يختلف عن محدد الوصف في الدراسات الوضعية والتاريخية، والنظر لعلم الأديان من منظور الوعي يوصلنا لموضوعات مخصوصة، من مثل: التحديات والمخاطر والفرص، ويعيد تشکيل موضوعات هذا العلم وفقها، فما المقصود بالتدين والدين؟ وما مکونات الدين؟ وما واقع الأديان اليوم؟ وما أهم التحديات التي تواجهها الأديان اليوم؟ وکيف تکون العلاقة بين الأديان؟ وما مستقبل الإسلام في هذا العالم الديني؟

The Reality of Religions and the Future of Islam:

Abstract
This research paper tackles topics related to religious studies through the reality of religions in the present time according to the cognitive parameter, which is different from the descriptive parameter of history and the positivist studies. Looking at religious studies from a cognitive point of view leads us to special topics such as challenges, threats, and chances, and accordingly reframes the topics of these studies. Hence the question: What is meant by religion and being religious? What are the components of religion? What is the reality of religion today? What are the most important challenges that face religions today? What is the nature of the relationship among religions? And what is the future of Islam in this religious world?
