الملخــــص :
       تعد مسرحية "لو عرف الشباب" واحدة من تلک المسرحيات الذهنية العقلية التي ترتبط بقضية مهمة من قضايا المجتمع المصري، والعلم الحديث أو الخيال العلمي وهي فکرة (صراع الأجيال) التي تقوم على العلاقة بين الشباب والشيوخ وهو ما قام "الحکيم" بمعالجته في المسرحية. وجاء هذا البحث للإجابة على تساؤل: کيف انعکست ظاهرة (صراع الأجيال) في النص؟ وذلک من خلال أربعة محاور أساسية: أولًا- أسباب المشکلة في المجتمع والنص. ثانيًا- مظاهر مشکلة صراع الأجيال في المجتمع والنص. ثالثًا- نتائج المشکلة وأثارها. رابعًا- علاج المشکلة، وموقف الکاتب من کيفية العلاج.

Abstract
 
        The play of Law aref al- shaba (If Youth Knows) by Tawfiq Al- Hakim is considered one of the intellectual and mental plays which is connected with an important issue derived from the Egyptian society and modern science or science fiction. This issue is introduced by the notion of (generations struggle) as it discusses the relationship between youth and the elder people as tackled by Al- Hakim in this play. Hence, this research is designed to answer this inquiry; how was that phenomenon (generations struggle) reflected in the text? The answer is achieved through four basic axes. First, the causes of the problem in the society and the text. Second, the manifestations of the issue of generations struggle in the society and the text. Third, the results and the consequences of the issue. Fourth, tackling the issue and the attitude of the author towards the manner of treatment.
