الملخــــــــص
    من خلال تتبع الکناية في ديوان مسکين الدارمي وجدت أن الشاعر رسمها بشاعريته المرهفة وثقافته البدوية الأصيلة ولغته العربية القوية، وقد استدعاها المقام وکثر فيها الکناية عن الصفة لغلبة حديثه عن الفخر بنفسه وبأخلاقه ووفائه وکرمه وأمانته وحيائه وعفته وحفظه السر، کما افتخر بقومه وعشيرته ونسب لهم الفضل وأشاد بأمجادهم، وقلّ ورود الکناية عن نسبة، وجاءت کناياته بديعة تلامس النفس، وتنأى عن التکلف والغموض والاستکراه. ويذکر أکثر من کناية للتدليل على ما يذکره من معنى واحد، تأکيدًا للتصوير وإمعانًا في إبراز المعنى ومبالغة في بيانه، وذلک في معظم الکنايات التي أوردها، وقد تآزرت مع غيرها من الألوان البلاغية في بيان المعنى المراد، وقد أورد کثيراً منها بأسلوب تعليمي وعظي، وهدف من ذلک النصح والإرشاد والتوجيه، وکانت مصورة للواقع وعناصرها مستمدة من البيئة التي يعيشها، ومن ثمّ کانت أقرب للإدراک وتوجب الإقناع، فهو يصور لنا المعنى مقرونا بأدلته.

Abstract
    Tracing the metaphorical imagery in the volume of Meskeen Al-Darmi, the researcher has found out that the poet was highly influenced by his passionate feelings, his original Bedouin culture and his powerful Arabic Language. The power of circumstance and the excessive use of metaphors dominated this volume because the poet was so proud of his manners, sincerity, generosity, honesty, bashfulness, chastity, being secretive as well as being proud of himself. In addition, the poet felt proud of his clan and his folks' men to the extent that he recognized their virtues and flattered their glories. Although the poet rarely utilized metaphors about his kinship, his metaphors marvelously touched the self despite being far away from artificiality or obscurity. The poet was known for using various metaphors to serve his targeted meaning. He utilized such style to assure the imagery and exaggeratedly clarify the meaning in a great deal of the metaphors he used. Together with other rhetorical devices, those metaphors harmoniously reveal the intent meaning.  Many metaphors were shaped and introduced in a didactic and advisory style so as to achieve the objectives of the poet. They succeeded to delineate reality because their elements were derived from the social milieu surrounding the poet. Therefore, the metaphors were conceivable and persuasive as the poet delineated reality associated with powerful evidence.
