ملخـــــص
تهدف الدراسة إلى الکشف عن وعي لغويي العرب في مرحلة مبکرة إلى عدم جواز دراسة اللغة بمعزل عن سياق إرسالها، واشتراطهم أن يکون التواصل في إطار النصوص، لا المفردات أو الجمل فحسب، آخذين في الاعتبار أغراض المتکلمين وأحوال المخاطَبين. فلقد أدرک علماؤنا الأجلاء أصول الخطاب ومکوناته من منطلق نظرتهم الشاملة غير التقليدية إلى الظواهر اللغوية وضوابط تفسيرها، وکانوا على وعي کاف بتأثير تلک العوامل السياقية في عناصر التراکيب ودلالاتها، وکانت لهم إشارات ناصعة في هذا المضمار. 
ومنهج البحث هو المنهج الوصفي، فقد استقرى الباحثُ الجوانب التبليغية التي تبناها المتقدمون في مصنفاتهم وهم بصدد التعامل مع الظواهر اللغوية، لاسيما أن مقارباتهم کانت تدعو إلى تذويب المسافة بين مکونات النظام اللغوي، وتلح على الانصهار والتفاعل فيما بينها، فجاءت نظرتهم کلية شاملة. وصارفا همته إلى تحديد نظرتهم الکلية من خلال خطاباتهم، ومنه إلى إثبات أنهم لم يکونوا - وهم بصدد وصف القضايا اللغوية وتفسيرها - منصرفين عن مقامات إنجازها، وضوابط إرسالها اللغوية والمعرفية، بل قل إن شئت سماتها الشکلية أو الصورية جنبا إلى خصائصها التداولية. 
وقد انتهت الدراسة إلى أن لغويي العرب قد خطوا خطوة نوعية ناصعة تجاه وصف الواقع اللغوي، وفق طبيعة ممارسته وحدود اشتغاله، ومنطق استخدامه بين المتحدثين به. وأن نظرتهم للظواهر اللغوية لم تکن تقليدية، بل حازت مرتبة متقدمة على سلم المعرفة اللسانية الاجتماعية.کذلک انتهت الدراسة إلى أن عدم وجود ضوابط محددة ومبادئ ظاهرة للإفادة والتبليغ في کتب المتقدَّمين لا يعني بالضرورة جهلهم بهما أو تغافلهم عنهما، فقد استخدموا توجيهات بالغة، کان لها دور ناصع في فرز المقولات إلى أنماطها الترکيبية والدلالية المعتمدة.
The Informative Tendency of the Arab Linguists' Attitude

Abstract
  The present research aims at tracing the linguistic awareness of the Arabs in an early stage in which they disallowed studying language away from the context of it deliverance. In addition, they also provided, as a requisite, communication within the general framework of the texts rather than through vocabulary and sentences solely. They also considered the purposes of the speakers and the circumstances of the addressees. Our venerable scholars have perceived the fundamental concepts of discourse and its constituents in terms of their untraditional and comprehensive view of linguistic phenomena and the precepts of their interpretation. The Arab scholars were completely aware of the influence of those contextual elements on the structural ones and their meaning. Hence, they had an illuminating impact on that field of language. The research applies the descriptive approach where the researcher investigates the informative aspects adopted by the predecessors in handling the linguistic phenomena throughout their classifications, especially because their approaches called for obliterating the distance between the constituents of the linguistic system. In addition, those approaches insisted on fusing the constituents and allowing them to interact together so that the Arab scholars formed their comprehensive view. Therefore, the research at hand is designed to investigate such comprehensive view throughout the discourse and that would lead to prove that the Arabs, while they were about to describe or interpret linguistic issues, did not lack the energy needed to achieve their objective or the cognitive, linguistic precepts of their deliverance- one would better say the formalist aspects together with the pragmatic characteristics. The research has concluded that the Arab linguists have made a specific and illuminating leap towards describing the linguistic reality in accordance with the nature of its practice, its sphere of function and the logic of its usage by the interlocutors. Moreover, their conception of the linguistic phenomena was not traditional as it attained a high rank on the cognitive hierarchy of sociolinguistics.  Finally, the research has found out that the absence of definite precepts or evident principles of reporting or informing in the predecessors' books does not necessarily mean the Arabs were not aware of or inattentive to them. They used extreme guidelines which had an illuminating role in classifying the utterances into identified structural and sematic patterns.
